Our Leaders

Mike Williams


Mike Williams received his Bachelor of Science from East Carolina University, Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Winston-Salem State University and Master of Science in Nurse Anesthesia from Wolford College, Naples Florida.  He works in the Department of Anesthesiology  at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center and resides in Winston-Salem with his wife Sarah and son, Reece.  They attend Church of the Good Shepherd in Bermuda Run.  While in graduate school, Michael felt the calling from God to open a much needed free healthcare minstry for uninsured residents of Yadkin County.  In the book of Romans, Paul tells us to "Share with God's people who are in need."  Hands of Hope Medical Clinic, Inc is formed around the idea that by sharing medical care with those in need we can show GOD's love to all who come in contact with our clinic.  This is our purpose, our goal and our hope that we can preach the Gospel at all times in both word and deed.



Patty Williams


Patty Williams recieved her Bachelor of Science in nursing from Winston Salem State University in 1994 and a Master of Science in Nursing from Graceland University, Lamoni Iowa in 1999.  She is currently employed by Novant Health Yadkin Medical Associates.  She resides in Yadkin county with her husband, David and children Sarah and Isaac.  She is very active in medical missions including local and foreign.  She has been on multiple medical mission trips including Brazil, West Africa, Haiti, Jamaica and Peru.  Locally, she has been involved in several missions in Yadkin county and seeks to better her community by giving back using her talents in medicine.



Melissa Combs

Director of Finance

Melissa W. Combs, CFP® received her Bachelor of Science in Finance from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro and her Master of Business Administration from Pfeiffer University. She resides in Yadkinville with her husband, Brian and son, Cameron. Melissa attends South Oak Ridge Baptist Church.



Dr. James McGrath

Director of Medicine

Dr. McGrath is our Board Certified Medical Director. Dr. McGrath attended Tulane University where he earned his Doctorate degree in medicine. James completed his residency at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro. Dr. McGrath then practiced in Yadkinville from 1983 to 1990. He relocated to Durham, NC where he continued practicing from 1990 to 2005. James returned to Yadkinville in 2006 where he serves many professonal roles as well as maintaining his own practice.



Mike Harris, PA-C

Director of Mid-Level Providers

Mike received his bachelor's degree from North Carolina State University and a Masters from East Carolina University in Physician Assistant Studies. He currently practices Family Medicine in Advance, NC. He resides in Winston-Salem, NC with his two children and wife Mandy.



Diane Jester - Treasurer

Diane Jester


After 41 years with Wells Fargo, Diane Jester retired and became our Treasurer. She has one son, Chad, in the Navy Reserves. He and his wife, Katrina, reside in Orange Park, FL and have two children, Andrew and Aleah. She attends Christian Outreach Fellowship in Yadkinville where she plays the piano. She is also the Treasurer at New Hope Pregnancy Care's Compassion Care Center.



Sara Martinez

Honorary Teenage Board Member

Sara currently attends Yadkin Early College High School. She is set to graduate in 2020 with an Associates in Arts and then plans to pursue a degree in psychology after enrolling in a 4-year university. She volunteers her time on Tuesday nights, both as a interpreter and a pharmacy technician.
